I have been using an antifungal cream for this fungal nail infection but it is not improving. What should I do?

Oral antifungals (antifungal medications taken by mouth) like itraconazole and terbinafine taken for at least 6 weeks are the best treatment for onychomycosis or fungal nail infection.
I therefore advise you to get a prescription of these medications if the nail lesions have been confirmed to be caused by a fungal infection.
The last resort for severe onychomycosis with extensive nail thickening is chemical nail avulsion with 40% urea or surgical nail avulsion.
