Dear Doctor
In 2011, I had a skin allergy and was prescribed 2 creams containing steroids by a Chinese doctor. I used both creams everyday for two months. After this time my skin recovered so I stopped using these creams.
A few months later, my skin would occasionally become itchy, and I would break out in pimples, so I started to use the two creams at night. The following morning, my skin would be much improved.
I did this for a few weeks before research made me realize that the creams contained steroids and were having a detrimental effect on my skin. I stopped using the creams at once, but the itchiness and pimples kept coming and going.
I even stopped washing my face, drinking alcohol, and tried to avoid eating spicy food and seafood. Since that time, I have tried numerous different kinds of medication, both pharmaceutical and natural, but my skin has never really recovered.
Recently I have been using some natural Chinese facial masks but my skin has just become worse. At this point, I have no idea what to do. I would be extremely grateful if you could give me some kind of advice or information that would help me, as I am beginning to think my skin will never get better!
